Marissa is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and is passionate about supporting individuals of all ages to navigate the peaks and valleys of being human. Marissa works to create a supportive space where individuals can safely explore their thoughts and feelings while being listened to and understood.

Marissa prides herself on taking a strengths-based approach with the individuals she works with. She believes that every individual has the capacity for change given the opportunity. Marissa also believes in the importance of developing a therapeutic relationship and works collaboratively with her clients to create treatment goals that feel right for them.

Marissa has developed her clinical knowledge through working in community mental health providing home-based therapy, and at partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient levels of care. Marissa utilizes aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to assist individuals to explore how their thoughts, feelings, and actions impact their view of self and work towards gaining more self-awareness to make meaningful change in their lives.
