Dottie Moffitt, LADC, Pre-Licensed CMHC

Co-Occurring Program Coordinator (she/her/hers)

Dottie is a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor and Clinical Mental Health Intern with a passion for helping people explore their relationship with substances, whether they’re in active use, practicing harm reduction, or maintaining sobriety. She believes that healing starts with feeling heard, and strives to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences with honesty and curiosity.

Using a humanistic approach, Dottie views each client as the expert of their own story. She brings empathy, humor, and a deep respect for each person’s unique journey to our collaboration. Her goal is to meet people where they are, offering support that is collaborative, compassionate, and centered on the client.

In addition to Dottie’s work with individual clients, she serves as the Program Manager for Counseling Associates’ co-occurring disorders program. She also works with clients who are attending counseling as part of the process to reinstate their driver’s license after a DUI, providing guidance rooted in accountability and care. When she has downtime, she enjoys spending time at the ocean, reading, rooting for the Red Sox, and hanging out with her American Bully, Frannie, who may occasionally make appearances during a telehealth session.
