Dr. Levine serves as the Clinical and Quality Officer for Counseling Associates. He attended the University of Vermont, earned a Ph.D. in Combined Professional-Scientific
Psychology at Peabody College at Vanderbilt University, and was a clinical psychology fellow at the Yale University School of Medicine.
Dr. Levine is the former director of the Kearsarge Counseling Center in New London and was the Chief Psychologist and Director of Psychology Training at Riverbend
Community Mental Health Center in Concord. Earlier he directed statewide substance abuse treatment centers in Vermont and Maine and conducted innovative outcomes research.
Dr. Levine maintains a practice providing psychotherapy, assessment, consultation and professional supervision in downtown Hanover as well as at CA's Buck Road location.
He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth; has a Clinical Teaching Staff appointment at Mary Hitchcock
Memorial Hospital; and provides psychotherapy supervision to 3rd year psychiatry residents.
For more than ten years, Dr. Levine served as a professional conduct investigator for the N.H. licensing board. He received the Distinguished Contribution to Psychology
award from the N.H. Psychological Association in 1994. As an external consultant to the Educational Testing Service, he helped develop national guidelines for documenting psychiatric disabilities.
Dr. Levine has published in the areas of professional misconduct investigations, substance abuse, individual and family therapy, and the management of shared resources.
