Counseling Associates offers a wide variety of counseling services across New Hampshire including individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions as well as medication management services.

CA currently has 5 office locations as well as telehealth appointments.

Groups at CA!

In addition to our individual, couples and family services, CA coordinates a range of group counseling and psychoeducation series. These groups are currently offered via Zoom for your convenience.

Living Fully is our signature skills group with different series offered for Adults, Teens and Tweens.

In the Living Fully groups, you will learn concrete skills to take control of your emotions and actions and to participate more fully and successfully in your life and in fulfilling relationships. You will leave each session with a new strategy to practice as you navigate your week.

Counseling

Counseling works by helping you get a new perspective on things. Your counselor will help you examine your thoughts, feelings and behaviors in a more objective way. You can learn more effective ways of dealing with a situation or problem, even those that seem hopeless.

At Counseling Associates we take a strengths-based counseling approach to assist you in moving toward your goals and opening doors to new possibilities. With multiple clinicians and areas of expertise, we are able to offer comprehensive, specialized services for adults, children, adolescents, couples and families.

Collaboration

Counseling is about collaboration. You and your therapist will both work together to create the change you are looking for. We are committed to using our skills to help you harness the strengths and capacities you already possess in order to more effectively move out of the problem and into the solution.

You may also have other resources in place. We value the collaborative relationships we have with medical, school and other professionals in the area that enable us to offer high quality, coordinated care when requested.

Convenience

What is best for you? Counseling Associates offers the convenience of telehealth services to those located in New Hampshire and Vermont.

We also have six offices conveniently located in the communities of New London, Newport, Claremont, Hanover and Plymouth, New Hampshire.

In addition to normal business hours, we offer limited early morning and evening hours. Please note, these hours tend to be in high demand.

Wondering about health insurance?
Most health insurance plans offer coverage for mental and behavioral health services. We are participating providers with many companies including Anthem, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim, United Behavioral Health, Optum, Aetna, Medicare and NH Medicaid. Call your insurance company to inquire about your particular benefits.
