Carlene is a compassionate therapist who works with children, families, and adults. Her current practice is deeply informed by her two decades working with children before becoming a therapist. She utilizes play to facilitate communication and learning with children, recognizing that play is a child’s first language. In addition to a child-centered approach, she also employs an adaptive approach tailored to the child’s developmental age and needs. In recognizing the interconnectedness of families and their well-being, Carlene extends her holistic approach to parents and families.
Having worked as a paramedic for 11 years, Carlene also has a passion for treating chronic pain. She uses a variety of modalities and techniques to teach pain reprocessing to clients suffering from chronic pain. Through individual and group therapy, she teaches clients how to manage pain and reclaim their lives.
